Perfect-Fit Blinds
Bi-fold doors create fantastic open spaces and large areas of glazing, but finding a blind that works without interfering with the doors can be challenging.
Our preferred solution is a slimline pleated cellular blind fitted individually to each glazed door panel. The blind sits neatly within the aluminium door profile and travels with the door, allowing normal operation of the bi-fold system.
This means the blinds can remain lowered for privacy, glare and solar control, even while some or all of the doors are open.
Slimline Cellular Blinds
Space between bi-folding door panels can be extremely limited, particularly when the doors are folded back.
For this reason, we use compact pleated and cellular blind systems specifically selected to work within the available door profile.
The fabric stacks into a very small space when raised, helping to maintain the clean appearance and functionality of the doors.
Cellular fabrics are also available in a choice of dimout, blackout and solar-control options, providing an additional layer between the room and glazing.
Tensioned Operation
Each blind operates on a tensioned system, keeping the fabric neatly positioned against the door as it is opened, closed or folded.
A discreet grab handle on the bottom rail allows the blind to be easily raised, lowered and positioned exactly where required – with no loose operating cords or chains.
The result is simple, reliable operation that feels integrated with the doors themselves.
Professionally Fitted to Your Bi-Fold Doors
Unlike many DIY or clip-in blind systems, our preferred bi-fold solution is normally professionally screw-fixed directly to the aluminium door profile.
Every installation is carefully measured to ensure the blinds fit within the available clearances and do not interfere with handles, hinges or the folding operation of the doors.
Fixing into modern aluminium doors requires accurate positioning and the correct installation method, which is why every set is individually surveyed and professionally installed.
Colours & Finishes
The blind hardware is available in a selection of contemporary finishes, including popular white and anthracite grey, allowing the system to blend neatly with many modern aluminium door frames.
A wide choice of cellular fabrics is available in different colours, textures and levels of light control, allowing the finished blinds to complement the doors and surrounding interior.
Alternative Solutions
Where fitting individual blinds directly to the doors isn't suitable – or where you would prefer a single window treatment across the entire opening – we can also install blinds within or in front of the surrounding window reveal.
Depending on the opening, alternatives can include Allusion blinds, roller blinds, curtains and other specialist systems.
We'll assess the doors, available clearances and how you use the space before recommending the most appropriate solution.
